Tasks

The project area concerns the region between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. What is now ABB Switzerland was given the contract to supply the entire plant. This involved planning and implementing the medium and low-voltage power supply by workers who are now INP employees.

Project description

The Atatürk hydroelectric power plant is the sixth largest hydroelectric plant in the world, and was inaugurated in 1994. It is regarded as a key plant in the south-east Anatolia project (GAP), and is its largest energy supplier. GAP is the largest and most varied development project in Turkey.
